About the Building

Willow Bay BuildingThe Willow Bay Building has nearly a 100-year old history within the city of Jamestown. Built in 1921, this five-story building was once a Masonic establishment, with a large dining hall and ceremonial room, now the home of the Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet, as well as a 494-seat theater on the top floor that was in its origin the Masonic Temple. The building housed the Commons Mall in the ‘70s and ‘80s, and has changed hands multiple times, and has been multiple things to the Jamestown community. We are proud to say that we have embraced the eclectic past of this historic facility and have developed it to be a multicultural, multifaceted landmark.

We’ve given the historic site a top-to-bottom makeover, and we believe that it’s better than ever! You’ll find prime Retail Space, professional Office Space, affordable Apartments and world-class entertainment taking place in the Willow Bay Theater.

The Willow Bay Building is more than a place for people to live, work, and shop. This historic property is playing a key roll in the revitalization of downtown Jamestown, and by making it a place that people want to go in order to buy a computer, take their children to dance class, or be thoroughly entertained by world class performers… We are achieving what we set out to do, which was to enhance peoples experiences when coming into the downtown of this beautiful city and helping to make Jamestown a place where people want to visit, and hopefully live.

About the Theater

Being a “mid-sized” venue the Willow Bay Theater is sized just right for almost any type of event. It is neither too large, or too small for any event you may be planning.

At the Willow Bay Theater, most of the entertainment is family-friendly, with live music covering a wide range of genres to draw in fans of Rock, Folk, Pop, Christian and Contemporary music, as well as fans of live Musicals, Plays, Illusionists and Stand-up Comedy. The space is adaptable and can be set up in many different formations. It can accommodate anywhere from 125 in a banquet layout, to 494 people maximum as a performance venue.
